The maps provided through this website contain many of the features required for a compliant NRCS 590 nutrient management plan under ATCP 50. Several required landscape features are not included in these maps, such as wells and locally identified features that serve as direct conduits to groundwater. Field verification of all landscape features is required!

The maps available from this website are in GeoPDF format. Spreading Restriction Maps for Marathon County

 

Generic restriction maps are downloadable by Public Land Survey System (PLSS) section; most sections are one statute mile square. (If you're unfamiliar with how the PLSS grids work, see the links at right). The map below initially displays the civil townships for the county. You can use the controls on the left of the map to pan and zoom, or click on a township to zoom into it.

As you zoom in on a single township/range cell, the section boxes will appear, labeled with their section number ("24"). When these boxes are visible, a click on the map selects and downloads the appropriate section map as a GeoPDF file.
